Dawn Van Wyk Takekawa is the senior associate at the firm. Dawn practices primarily in the areas of family law, criminal law, juvenile law, estate planning, real estate law, contract law, corporate law and conservatorships and guardianships.
Prior to joining Block, Lamberti & Gocke, P.C., Dawn was an associate for another firm in Des Moines where she primarily practiced in the area of family law. While in law school Dawn served as a law clerk for Farm Bureau Financial Services and the Iowa Coalition Against Sexual Assault.

Dawn graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kansas in May 2004. Dawn was a root law scholar and received her juris doctor degree with honors from Drake University in 2007.
Dawn is a native of Ankeny, Iowa. In her free time Dawn enjoys spending time with her husband and family, traveling, and reading.
